I made a Happy Father's Day card using the Best Year Stamp Set! Due to COVID-19 restrictions my dad Phil did not get to share the day with his family but at least I could send him a card to tell him how much he really means to me!
This week I'm showcasing the amazing sentiments in the Best Year Cling Stamp Set. I've chosen this stamp set because it has 11 versatile sentiments that can be stamped on the outside or inside of cards. It can be found on page 133 of Annual Stampin' Up!® Catalogue.
I've used two of the sentiments for my Father's Day card: ‘TO THE WORLD YOU ARE A DAD, TO ME YOU ARE THE WORLD' is on the front of my card and ‘HAPPY FATHER'S DAY' has been stamped on the inside.
The Layers for my card:
- Card base: Pretty Peacock cardstock (10.5cm x 29.8cm) then scored at 14.9cm
- Card layer: Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper (9.8cm x 14cm)
- Insert: Shimmery White Cardstock (10cm x 14.2cm)
- The ‘Happy Father's Day' sentiment was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink
- I've adhered a left over strip (1.2cm x 10cm) of Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the insert with Stampin' SEAL.
- Banner: Stitched Rectangle – Shimmery White Cardstock (6.6cm x 10cm)
- I've stamped the image and sentiment with Black StazOn Ink
- The image has been coloured with ink and water painters
- Basic Gray: Fathers' hair and daughters' pants
- Pretty Peacock: Fathers' shirt
- Pumpkin Pie: Fathers' pants
- Old Espresso: Daughters' hair
- Night of Navy: Daughters' top
- Petal Pink: Father and daughters' skin
- I added some sparkle to the daughters' clothes with Clear Wink of Stella brush
- I adhered the DSP to the cardbase with Stampin' SEAL
- I looped 40cm of Gold Trim three times and attached it to the top left hand side of the Stitched Rectangle Banner with some tape
- The Stitch Rectangle was adhered to the card base with dimensionals to add height
- I also placed three Gold Gilded Gems for a little more bling!
