What is Heat Embossing?
In the context of creating Hand Made Cards, Heat emboss with Powder is the method of creating raised images or sentiments on cardstock.
Heat Embossing adds dimension to your project
What Stampin' Up!® Products do I need to Heat Emboss?
- Stamp (Sentiment or Image)
- Versamark Watermark Stamp Pad [102283]
- Stampin' Emboss Powder – Stampin' Up!® stock 8 different colour
- Clear [109130]
- Gold [109129]
- Silver [109131]
- White [109132]
- Embossing Buddy [103083] – retired
- Cardstock/Paper
- Heat Tool [129056]
What are the Steps to Heat Embossing?
- Prepare the cardstock by rubbing the Embossing Buddy over the area that will be Heat Embossed. To prevent extra powder or glitter from sticking to the paper the Embossing Buddy is used.
- Ink up the Stamped Image with Versamark Watermark Stamp Ink
- Make sure you hold down the Stamp for a few seconds to all for the Versamark Ink to transfer to the paper
- Cover the Stamped Image with Stampin' Emboss Powder – dust over the powder to make sure there is good coverage
- Heat the Image (Versamark and Emboss Powder) with a Heat Tool.
The Versamark Ink and Emboss Powder will melt to create a stunning raised image
