I've been crafting … I made this Watercoloured Birthday Jubilee Card for a friend because she is celebrating her birthday. Hopefully it will get to her via SNAIL MAIL before her special day.
I used the amazing Birthday Jubilee Bundle [153814] from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue because I love the flowers and the dies cuts. The bundle consists of the Birthday Jubilee Stamp Set and the Jubilee Beauty Dies. I love font of the sentiments in the Stamp Set and the dies are sointricate.
Heat Embossing is one of my favourite techniques at the moment because I love the stunning shiny and raised result. You can head over to my page on how to Heat Emboss for more details and a list of supplies you will need to create this look.
Steps to create my card:
- I prepared my Shimmery White Cardstock with the Embossing Buddy so extra embossing powder would not stick to the paper
- The ‘Happy Birthday' sentiment I stamped once and the flowers twice with Versamark
- I covered the Versamark Images with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, dusted off the excess powder and then cured the Versamark & Emboss Powder with heat from the Heat Tool
- I used the Trimmer to cut down the ‘Happy Birthday' Sentiment (2cm x 9.3cm) and cut out the Flowers using the coordinating dies
- The flowers and leaves were watercoloured using Aquapainters and Stampin' Ink. Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Highland Heather were the colours used.
- Two 2 Intricate Daffodil Delight pieces were out with the Dies. There are plenty of small pieces that the dies cut out so I used the Take Your Pick Tool to remove them.
- I adhered the Shimmery White card base (10.5cm x 29.8cm) and layer one Shimmery White card stock as well (10cm x 13.7cm) together with my choice of Adhesive: mine SNAIL Adhesive.
- These two adhered layers were through my embossing Machine in the Script 3D Embossing Folder … this embossing folder dry embossed a beautiful script on the cardstock.
- The sentiment and watercolored flowers were assembled
